Chris is currently out of town attending a friend's wedding in CA. Since I am stuck at home (I try to limit my trips out with the kids by myself until Lily is past this screaming phase. She HATES her car seat!), I decided it was time to catch up on the ol' blog!
Lily is now over 9 lbs, and still quite a tiny, little peanut! She is still in newborn clothes, and I'm very impatient for her to grow a little more so I can put her in her cute 0-3 months outfits! She started smiling back in mid-May, and I can usually catch a bunch of those beauties right after she's eaten. She is a great eater, but we are still working on sleeping. Fortunately, she still sleeps at night pretty well. During the day is difficult because there are some days where she just doesn't nap at all. And right now if she's not sleeping or eating, she's probably crying. Oy, those are fun days! I'll be happy when she hits about 4 months and this colic starts to disappear. Besides the colic, she is absolutely a beautiful baby!

James has still been meeting with a lot of specialists from Kids on the Move. {I want to give a shout-out to that program! They are absolutely amazing and offer some of the greatest opportunities for James. I am so thankful to have stumbled on this program!} His vocabulary is quite large now, but he is still working on articulation. His articulation is pretty much non-existent! He just makes up sounds he thinks works :) Soon we'll also be enrolling him in a "Floortime" class which will help him have more creative play, and give me tips on how to help him do that. Right now his free-play is EXTREMELY structured and he doesn't ever branch out of that type of play. He is all about lining things up, and repeating the same movements with his toys over and over. He sometimes gets frustrated with me when I bring in some imaginative play. I'm excited to see how this class helps both of us!
Besides that, not much has changed! We did sell our Hyundai and purchase a new car (well, new to us!), but I'll blog about that later. For now, we are enjoying our weekend in the sunshine and impatiently awaiting Chris's return and the arrival of his mom! She will be coming on Sunday and we CANNOT wait!
